Article Summary

Château Santé provides an intelligent integrated framework to measure the quality of patients’ health condition. Our approach to measurement is patient-centered. The content of the patient reported outcome instruments (PROMs) is determined by the patients. Our intuitive and attractive apps make measuring health easy. Our PROMs can be used in clinical studies and national health surveys.

PROMs

Any assessment coming directly from patients, without interpretation by physicians or others, about how they function or feel in relation to their health condition is called a patient-reported outcome measure (PROM).

Measurement model

The cornerstone of our measurement framework is an extended version of the Rasch model that produces transparent metrics. This item-response theory model is the most robust approach currently available to measure subjective phenomena such as perceived health. Respondents assess their own health status and subsequently place a value on it. The resulting values can be normalized and anchored to generate ‘utilities’ for cost-effectiveness analyses.
